More Photos of White House Easter Egg Roll (part 4)

There were a lot of various activities going on and the performers and demonstrations were different for each of the time slots. For our group (E from 3 to 5 p.m.) this was the schedule (a copy was in our goodie bag that we received at the entrance):

Group E Schedule 3- 5 p.m.
Stage: Jessica Jarrell, The Electric Company, Ziggy Marley
Kid’s Kitchen: Chef Howard Helmer (and his daughter), Chef Jose Andres, White House Chefs, Chef Howard Helmer
Storytime: Devon McTavish (reading - Five Little Monkeys); Dawn Staley (reading – Goose and Duck); Derrick Dockery & Shawun Suisham from the Redskins football team (reading – The Adventures of Max and Pinky, Best Buds).
Hop To It (demonstrations): Yoga, step Afrika, Greenbelt Sity Stars
Sport Courts: Renee Brown-Basketball; Ben Olsen-Soccer
Activities: Egg Roll, Egg Hutn, and Eggspress Yourself (egg dying, arts & crafts, face painting)

There were also staff people walking around in costumes (i.e., Easter Bunnies, Winnie Pooh, Theodore Roosevelt) and other staff handing out coloring pages and other things for the children. It was impossible to get a photo of everything – but we did our best.

The next photos are of the Candy Display near the Kid’s Kitchen area, the White House Chefs (who were standing off to side of the kitchen stage area preparing to go on after Chef Andres), and some random photos of the White House lawn.

Candy Display – this was very cool!
