It was great! But soooooo very, very tired this morning, so this is just a quick overview for now and I promise to get more posted over the next couple of days.
My daughter and I, along with my friend Patty and her two nieces had tickets from online to attend the 2009 White House Easter Egg Roll. We were thrilled that The Obamas decided to open up the opportunity to attend to many, many more people all across America this year by offering the tickets online (in the past tickets are were available to those who were able to get to Washington D.C. just prior to the event and stand in line and hope they were early enough to get tickets).
Our ticketed time was 3 to 5 p.m., we didn’t get in until about 3:30, but still had to leave at 5 p.m. It was sea of people. We took lots of photos and I video taped as much as I could. Everyone is really tired this morning. Hubby and I have to go to work, but luckily my daughter has off school this week so she can sleep in today. My friend and her nieces had a great time too.
We got home about 11:30 p.m. and since I have work today, I probably won’t get to posting the photos today. I have to figure out how to get the video online so that could take awhile. But in the meantime I’ll post more details about what we did and what we got to see, and videos and info. from sources online throughout the day.
We didn’t get to see the President while we were there. But below are some videos for you to enjoy of the beginning of the 2009 White House Easter Egg Roll and of The Obamas at the opening of the event.
Bright blessings, Lady Rose

How cool is that, that you actually got to go! Sounds like you had fun. Lucky daughter who got to sleep in this morning. Looking forward to hearing more about it. I saw all those videos yesterday. Obama did a great job of reading the story.

That is so neat. I would have loved to go. I think that it was great he opened it up to so many more people.
