Guests Arrive

Before the guests arrived our friend Aberforth Dumbledore (the brother of Albus Dumbledore) waited outside to greet them. As guests gathered various staff witches and wizards would step outside to say hello. When the witching hour struck (1:00 p.m.) the doors to the Hogwarts Party opened and Aberforth led our guest up the stairs. The lights were dimmed, the well known Hedgwig’s theme music was playing, the ballroom ball was sending sparkling balls of light dancing around the hall. The staff of witches and wizards stood sternly observing the parade of students to the sign-in table and couldn’t help but smile a bit as the children’s eyes lit up and their smiles got bigger and many muggle parents gaped open mouth at the magical sights and sounds that greeted them. The cauldron spewed forth its fog and bubbles playfully floated over the crystals and artifacts in the musuem, candles flickered on the head table of the classroom, and the best Harry Potter party of the decade was off to a great start.
