Hogwarts Welcome Speech – once guests signed in, had a chance to look around and get some refreshments we started the party with a welcome speech followed by the Sorting Hat Ceremony.

Welcome Students,

In just a few moments you’ll be sorted into your houses. If there are any muggles parents, it is time to send you on your way. You may pick up your witch or wizard at 7 p.m.

Before we begin let me go over a few rules:

• Stay with your house mates and obey your house mothers at all times.
• You will receive house points for good behavior and lose house points for bad behavior. Which ever house has th emost points at the end of the day will win the house cup trophy.
• Please do NOT touch anything in the Hogwarts museum, unless you want to suffer a most horrible death (***look out at each student sternly***).
• Please do not bother the house elves who are working very hard in the kitchen preparing you all a most wonderous feast.

I’d like to take a moment and thank our wonderful staff for all their hard work. ***clap***

We will now call each of your names. When your name is called, come up and be sorted and then you may go shop for your school supplies at Diagon Alley.
