HONEYDUKES – PHOTO
Back to HP Party Index.
When the students first arrived they shopped at Diagon Alley, but we had the Honeydukes Shoppe (table) covered and a closed sign on it. After the feast, we called one house (table) at a time to go shopping at Honeydukes. There were samples to try (see list below), and they used one of their wizard coins to purchase a Sampler Pack (on the front I had stapled a list off the goodies inside). I decorated the table with glass jars (from the dollar store) that were filled with candy, pin wheels, and long spiral lollipops (rainbow colors) that were stuck in a styrafoam base to give height to the display.
HONEYDUKES SWEETSHOP SAMPLER PACK
(Goodie Bag)
Chocolate Troll Bits – chocolate pieces wrapped in foil to look like ears, eyes, fingers, and lips (Oriental Trading)
Sugared Unicorn Horn – huge, multi-colored spiral unicorn lollipops (Oriental Trading) – these were so cool looking I just had to have them even though they are not an “official” Harry Potter candy.
Squeaking Sugar Mice - sugar-iced mice on a lollipop stick from Oriental Trading
Sugar Spun Quill – sugar filled straw candies with glued on feathers (both from $1 store)
Ice Mice – gummy mice from $1 store (added a label that said Ice Mice)
Peppermint Cream Toad – these were yummy and made ahead of time. Using a frog candy mold, filled half way with melted green candy wafers, cooled, filled second half with melted chocolate, topped it off with crushed candy canes. (After I was done I realized it would have been easier to put the candy cane between the two layers rather then having to tap it down on top the chocolate to keep it from falling off - but I was tired and making so many my brain wasn’t totally working.)
Official Harry Potter candy from Amazon:
Droobles Best Blowing Gum
Fizzing Whizzbees
Acid Pop
Cockroach Cluster
Bertie Bott Every Flavour Beans (3 oz bag)
Chocolate Frog (with wizard card)
Candy Samples:
There were also several jars of candy for sampling (jars and candy from $1 store) and 5 lbs of treacle fudge to taste. I chose candy that kinda looked like it would be the Honeydukes candy I was labeling it as.
Treacle Chocolate Fudge – made five 1-lb fudge kits (from craft store), stir in a bit of treacle syrup (golden syrup from Amazon).
Coconut Ice – marshmallow candy that was white and pink
Licorice Wands – peach flavored licorce
Levitating Sherbert Balls – pastel colored hard candy
Exploding Bonbons – jelly filled marshmallow candy
Jelly Slugs – gummy worms
Canary Cream – lemonheads
Peppermint Humbugs – individually wrapped peppermints
Ton-Tongue Toffee – hard candy toffee
