Lets see …
Solstice weekend will find us having company in from out of state. Cookies will be baked, a movie may be watched, and much laughter will be had.
Xmas Eve we go to my cousins house. The best part of this for me is that someone else does the cooking. Last year I was really really sick here's hoping I miss that particular ncore.
Xmas Day we stay home. The kids open their presents and we keep it somewhat organized instead of a crazy free-for-all. We sit in front of a fire in the fireplace, eat cookies (the adults have coffee) and everyone takes turns opening while other people watch (the girls open 1 gift each simultaneously). After presents I start cooking and by dinner time another out of state friend will be here.
The day after Xmas is Miss Artistic's Birthday and generally we go out to dinner so as to avoid serving her holiday leftovers which are tasty but not as festive. She turns 14 this year and frankly I cannot believe Im old enough to have a child her age.
So what are you doing?
Blessings
Mama Kelly
