Six random things about me:

1. When I cook I cook big.  At Thanksgiving I make so much food that a family of five could drop by unexpectedly, I could stuff them, and us, to the gills, and still have leftovers.  So far this hasn’t occurred, but I’m ready just in case it should one day.  Instead we eat my feast all the way through Sunday and I usually still manage to put some things up in my freezer.
2. I really enjoy vampire fiction. Some of my favorites include Interview with the Vampire, Real Vampires Have Curves, Dead Until Dark, and both the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter and Betsy the Vampire Queen series.    It is a wonderful form of escapism because its just so much of a departure from day to day reality.
3. Hubby and I hope to one day have a house in the country on a sizable plot of land.  Big enough to not see our neighbors much.  Big enough to be able to plant fruit and nut trees.  Big enough for me to have a couple of chickens.
4. For some reason I really feel called to have chickens.  I have no idea why.  And not just your ordinary run of the mill chickens that lay white eggs.  I want Auaucanas or other breeds that lay “colored” eggs.
5. I have ideas floating around in my head for several different books, none of which that I have the time to write.  I hope that that may eventually change and I can only hope that my muses remain patient with me until it is so.  In the meantime I scribble what I can on index cards and scraps of paper in hopes that one day I will compile them to find that I wrote a book “by accident.”
6. My fondest dream is to one day own a little witchy shop somewhere.  Maybe when I am old and grey.
