Today I am grateful for a primarily restful weekend. Granted there was an awful lot of errand running, and I did a fair bit of cooking, but I got some down time nonetheless.
Today I am grateful for getting a few small decluttering tasks done toward the larger goal of dismantling an upstairs “living room” so that my girls can each have their own bedrooms. Granted this will not be done in time for the new school year, as I had originally wanted, but small progress is better than none at all.
Today I am grateful for finding the time and energy to make a Lammas feast, even if it was not called by that name. Yesterday I grilled marinated london broil as well as marinated pork chops and made tomato salad (with oilive oil, red onion, garlic, and basil), potato salad, and hot onions, which we had with a loaf of crusty bread, bagged salad and canned baked beans. Today we ate the sides again with a roasted ham I picked up for 99cents a pound.
Blessings to you and yours
Mama Kelly
