For Healthy Children

This week I am grateful for the blessing of two healthy children.

I am grateful for the gift merely of being able to conceive and carry them in spite of severe endometriosis.

I am grateful for the blessing of Princess Nibbles surviving her precarious birth after I had an undiagnosed silent placental abruption.

I am grateful for the mere fact that Miss Artistic was found safe and sound and returned to my arms 52 hours after running away from home a little over a year ago.

I know what it is like to fear for my child’s safety. I know what it is like to fear that my child might die before I ever get to hold them in my arms. But, I cannot imagine the daily unrelenting terror of having a 2 year old fighting cancer.

I received an email today asking me to send some energy to a very sick little boy, and requesting that I ask others to raise energy as well.

“(Dante is) 2 (just turned 9/17), (and was) diagnosed with Cancer 2 days after Christmas 2007. We just learned that his cancer is back with a vengeance.”

“A small group of us will be going to the Children’s Hospital of Phila, on Sunday, to do a baby blessing and raise energy for (Dante). We are expecting to arrive at 12:00 on Sunday and get started around 12:15pm. The ritual should last about 30 minutes. If you are able, and feel so inclined, please join us in raising energy for Dante during that 30 minute window.”

And so I turn to you, our readers. I ask that you light candles, utter prayers, send white light or use whatever vehicle you are comfortable with to send healing energy to this little boy. His picture is below, use it to help you focus.

See him running in the sunlight healthy and strong.

See him rolling on the floor laughing aloud.

See him in cap and gown getting his high school diploma
