For Purple Smoothies and Good Friends

Today I am grateful for Lady Rose, whose enthusiasm and optimism can generally lift me out of any dark mood I happen to fall into.

Today I am grateful for my friend “M2″ who stopped by today, finally meeting Lady Rose (I love when worlds collide) and immidiately hit it off.  I’m not sure how it happened but somehow M2 is now going to somehow be involved in helping Lady Rose with the plot that revolves around the weekend after my 40th birthday.  I am beginning to get very very scared.

Today I am grateful for the openmindedness I have managed to instill in my children that allowed both Princess Nibbles & Miss Artistic to be willing to try our first green smoothies.  Did we love them?  No, not really.  But the purple one was rather tasty and we would all be willing to try them again.

Today I am grateful for manager’s mark down stickers on the meat I purchased today at the supermarket.  I bought some stuff for my freezer, and have so much to eat this week as well.

    Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad that you enjoy your visits here and hope you comment more often.

    The scary part is being the sole focus of Lady Rose’s attention – she can be a little … overwhelming. Plus Im not good on the best day at being the center of attention.

    As for being grateful for “the small things in life”, that is why I do this weekly exercise as it reminds me of all the little blessings in life that otherwise I would forget about or take for granted.

    I love green smoothies and they taste awesome. If you’re not liking it, then add some more fruit and/or use fewer greens (at least for now), and/or use mild greens like spinach or romaine or maybe parsley.

    They should be really tasty. Bananas and mango are great for sweetness and adding creaminess to them.
