Oh Almighty! You alone are our mother and father!
You alone are our friend and close companion!
You alone are our knowledge, wealth and all in all!

Today I am grateful to all of the woman at the Bra & Girdle store a few towns over.  We went there Friday night when, after clothes shopping for party clothes, it became obvious that Miss Artistic had gone up more than a cup size since late August.  Not only did they literally run all around the store pulling off every bra that might possibly fit my incredibly well-endowed teenager but they did so without complaint and without making her feel bad about herself.  I am also grateful to the seamstress they had on staff who happily put a couple of darts in the bra we settled on to make it fit absoluately perfectly for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.  The bras were not cheap, but when you’re shopping for size “J”, beggars can’t be choosers.

Today I am grateful that I am doing well in the side-project available at my job right now.  Two nights this week I stayed late and I went in yesterday morning as well.  All told it meant an extra 6 hours on the phone (as well as an hour of unpaid “wait to work” time) and it meant an extra $165.  I am still hoping for the return of overtime as this project, while potentially profitable, is also commission only and can result in working for very little or even no pay.  This extra money will come in very handy as the aforementioned bras (and some silicone cushion pads for her poor grooved shoulders) cost over $70.

Today I am grateful for still being able to have enough food to share with friends.  For sending “M2″ home with a hearty serving of soup and enough vegetarian chili to share with her roommate.  For having “just enough” chili that wouldn’t fit into my main storage containers to be able to bring some in for a woman at work who simply can’t afford enough food.

Today, probably most of all, I am grateful that Miss Artistic had such a good time at the birthday party she attended last night.  I am grateful to have found an outfit she felt beautiful in (a challenge with the aforementioned busom issue) that I was able to afford (thanks to combining a sale and coupons at my favorite store Fashion Bug).  I am grateful that her self-esteem seems to be rising and her dark moods seem to be less and less frequent.
