One of my goals this year on my way to getting healthy is to start having a daily green smoothie (a blend of fruits with fresh greens).  My brand new Blendtec Blender arrived this week and I’m looking forward to trying it out.   I’m going to wait until my next visit with Mama Kelly (sometime in March) to give the blender it’s first spin.  We are looking forward to having the kids try them out too (before we tell them what’s in them so they don’t just say yuck without really tasting it first).  Teacherman (hubby) says he has a small camcorder and hopefully he can find it so we can video tape our first green smoothie adventure to share with all of you.  Mama Kelly and I were talking about it at our last visit and we both were excited about the possibilities of combining different ingredients along with the fruits and veggies, such as pinches of herbs and green tea.  We are looking forward to creating lots of healthy, magical brews in our high powered Blendtec “cauldron.” 

In other news, I have a secret – and I’m very excited about it.  As our regulars readers already know I love to plan special events for friends and family, like my daughter’s 11th birthday Huge Harry Potter Party that took a year to plan and Mama Kelly’s Birthday Spa Weekend at my house. Well this year a very special Witch (Mama Kelly)  is having one of those milestone  birthdays in June.  The original plan was to celebrate at Womon Gathering, but with finances and other circumstances we are both dealing with, that won’t be possible this year (though Mama Kelly and I both hope to get to Womon Gathering next year).  At first I was very bummed that we would be missing Womon Gathering because we had such an awesome time last year.  But Mama Kelly and I agreed that we would make sure that we did something that weekend (or near that weekend) that focused on renewing our spirits.  But I also wanted to do something extra special for her birthday too.  For weeks I’ve been brain storming to find just the right way to combine both witchy fun, spiritual renewal and commerate a big birthday for my best friend and heart sister and this week I finally put together the general plans – the details will take the next few months to work out. 

Of course I can’t tell any one of you yet what those top secret plans are because Mama Kelly (obviously) reads this blog.  But you can be sure that come June you will be filled in are everything, and in the meantime I will have fun “torturing” Mama Kelly with evil devious witchy giggles.  (I’m sure as she reads this she is thinking, Uh Oh!)
