I bet management has it just as crappy given their performance is based on everyone else as well as their own [I'm guessing]. I have learned the hard way that your requests will be answered, but when it is vague it may not be answered quite as planned [or thought]. I am very careful with my wording now. I used to work for Influent, a telemarketing company that, as far as I know, is defunct now. Telemarketing is a crappy job, and the management treats the salesman like crap.
