Let me say right upfront … thank the Gods it is Friday and only a half day to boot. Work has been a nightmare and there are no signs of it getting better, only signs that each week will likely be worse than the one before it. But, for now, I am grateful that I get to walk out the door at 1pm, having worked 39 out of my 40 hours this week, and do not have to return until Monday morning.

The weekend will likely be a busy one. Tonight the girls have their belt testing at Tae Kwon Do. For now, with the lower belts, testing comes up every 8-10 weeks or so and this will be their 3rd belt (green). As we get into the higher belt levels I am sure that we will be waiting longer in between testing dates, which will be helpful as each testing requires the writing of another check.

My friend “M2″ is coming over tonight, attending the testing with us, adding to our cheering section, and coming back home for pizza. I am looking forward to her visit and am hoping for much laughter bouncing off the walls.

Tomorrow I have to do some form of once-a-week cooking …. even though I literally have no idea what to make anymore. It is too warm for my usual hearty fare of soups, casseroles, etc. and not yet warm enough to transition over to grilling all the time.

I also need to spend some time cleaning and organizing, and need to take some time for me as well.

Sunday is a family get-together which I’m sure I will enjoy more than I think I will right now.
