Sunday my sinuses and throat were really bothering me and I was exhausted. I blamed the former on the dusting of pollen on every outdoor surface and exposure to too much second-hand smoke over the weekend (my in-laws all smoke like fiends). The later was easy to blame on a long weekend, with a drunken evening and too little sleep thanks to a bad motel mattress and an exterior door that was not really secure.
By the end of working 5-9pm on Memorial Day I knew it wasn’t just allergies, I was sick … again!
Two weeks ago I missed two days of work thanks to a sinus infection, bronchitis, and laryngitis. I finished my antibiotics and while I noticed that my sinuses never seemed to fully clear I blamed it on allergies – allergies that Flonase and Zyrtec aren’t touching by the way.
Today I had to leave work after only 4 hours today as my voice just couldn’t handle it. I came home and slept, which helped a little. I am forcing hot sweet tea (decaf), I am gargling with warm salted water, I am taking my meds, I am hoping to be able to get through a full day tomorrow as I really can’t afford more unpaid time off.
In other news, in my all too frequent down time I have been tweaking the sidebar here on the blog, submitting to more blog directories and even listed 2 Witches on Amazon where Kindle users (or Ipod/Iphone users who make use of the free Kindle software) can subscribe to us for $1.99 a month. If any of our regular readers want to review us over there, it would be appreciated.
I am hoping that once my head clears that I will be able to hear the whispers of the muse again. In the meantime, the next weeks are going to be full of dress shopping, graduation preparations, and birthday festivities. I look forward to sharing all of them with all of you.
Blessings
Mama Kelly
