Cakes And Ale For The Pagan Soul edited by Patricia Telesco
Subtitled: Spells, Recipes and Reflections from Neopagan Elders and Teachers
This is a lovely collection of articles, spells, meditations and more written by a wide variety of Pagan authors which call us to ritual, to reflection, and to renewal.
The artilces are divided into sections: Path of Beauty, Wisdom of the World, Nature’s Advisers, Community: Honor, Respect and Gratitude, Rituals for Life and Healing, Spells and other Sundries
This book is a mish-mosh of articles and tidbits, you can read it straight through easily or read one or two stories a night.
I can tell you that personally, I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. While I wish there were more personal stories, and more depth in some areas I have to say that I was pleased to read so many different perspectives on the Pagan path. The wealth of small spells, recipes, and rituals alone make this a worthy book to add to any pagan or wiccan library.
Blessings, Mama Kelly
